Volunteer

Each YMCA across the nation is volunteer founded, volunteer led and volunteer based. Collectively, YMCA’s are the largest not-for-profit organizations in the nation and benefit from the leadership of more than 600,000 volunteers. The YMCA of Boulder Valley and Camp Santa Maria are no different. Currently, the YMCA of Boulder Valley has 2,067 volunteers that range in responsibility from policy making to campaigners to youth sport coaches to group exercise instructors.

Volunteering at the YMCA of Boulder Valley can help make a difference in your community, support a cause you believe in and put your skills and experience to work.  Volunteering can also help you to make new friends and develop professional contacts, help you to become part of the community, reduce stress, and build confidence.

2012 Community Support Campaign

Every day the YMCA reaches out to those in need.  We rely on community support to do this.  Each year staff members and volunteers raise funds, to help keep camp programs accessible to all families, through our Community Support Campaign.  Your contribution to the Community Support Campaign funds scholarships for campers to experience YMCA Camp Santa Maria each year.

Leave a legacy for years to come.  Individuals and couples who make a commitment to the Endowment Fund ensure the future of YMCA camp programs. These special people will be honored as Heritage Club members. Valuable, life-changing programs will be continued for future generations thanks to the vision and commitment of these special donors.

Donors qualify as members of the Heritage Club through trusts, wills, bequests, insurance or making a minimum outright gift of $5,000 or higher to the Endowment Fund.
