WHAT:

At Santa Maria we have two bodies of water that are used for boating activities, the lake and our heated pool. In our lake campers get to use our paddle boats, canoes, and kayaks. In the pool, campers can learn how to do a wet exit from their kayaks, as well as t-rescues and rolls. Life guards are on duty during ALL waterfront activities and all boaters wear life jackets. Each age group takes part in boating activities that are age appropriate. If campers want to take part in the Trekker Kayak skill track, they do need to be at least a Yellow band in swimming, and be comfortable with exiting a kayak from underwater.
