A Typical Day

Each day at YMCA Camp Santa Maria will be a different experience for campers. To help you get a picture of what your camper’s schedule might look like, we have provided a “typical” day’s schedule below. For more detailed schedules, click on the age group links below. There are times when we do have to make changes due to weather conditions or fire bans in our area.

7:00-8:00 All Camp Wake-Up & Cabin Clean-up

8:00-8:45 Breakfast & Morning Announcements

8:45-9:30 Camp Chores or “Squads”.

9:30-12:30 Activities by Age Group-Mini Skill Tracks

Teen Adventure Camps

Teen Leadership

Counselor In Training

12:30-1:15 Lunch & Afternoon Announcements

1:15-2:15 Rest Hour (napping, reading & writing letters)

2:15-5:00 Afternoon Activities

5:00-6:00 Smorgasbord & Camp Store

6:00-7:00 Dinner & Evening Announcements

7:00-8:45 Evening Program (outdoor games, campfires and skits)

8:45-9:00 Cabin time & Recognition (songs, camper recognition)

9:30-10:00 Cabin Time & Lights Out
