Family Camp – Labor Day Weekend

Come share some quality time with those special people in your life! One of the comments we hear most frequently from parents is, “I wish I could come to camp this summer!” Well, have we got news for you! In 2012, YMCA Camp Santa Maria will host our 2nd Annual Labor day Family Camp weekend. This is the perfect opportunity to relax and play together, make new friends and reconnect with old friends, your family and extended family.
For those who love adventure, there is hiking and kayaking. Those who like to kick back can enjoy swimming, fishing, arts and crafts and time to relax in nature. The excitement doesn’t stop when the sun goes down as every night is filled with fun activities for the whole family to enjoy together. Family Camp will combine planned activities and free time. Each day, a variety of activities will be offered in the morning, afternoon and evening.
Activities
- Hiking – scenic trails winding through aspens and pines ranging from easy to challenging.
- Swimming – heated outdoor pool with views of the mountainside.
- Fishing – the north fork of the South Platte River runs through camp, along with a stocked pond.
- Arts & Crafts: – a stocked arts & crafts studio with fun projects.
- Boating – kayaking and paddle boating on the lake.
- Evening Campfire – music, marshmallow roasting, and friends.
- Talent Show – we provide the space, you provide the talent!
Meals
Nutritious and delicious meals and snacks are served in our Dining Hall. We serve our meals either in a buffet or family style depending on the meal.
Lodging
Families will stay in our rustic, yet comfortable cabins. All of our cabins are located close to our central bathhouse.
Registration
$150 per adult
$100 per child (ages 4-16)
$50 discount per family for YMCA Members
